When Westborough High School learning center teacher, Ms. Lonergan, announced she was having a second child, the need to find a long term substitute became urgent. Thankfully as more candidates were interviewed a certain teacher stood out.

Mr. Paul Santucci, from Plainville, Massachusetts is now here for the remainder of the year to take over Learning Center and English classes. He has been a teacher since 2005, and loves to teach English.

Mr. Santucci did not always want to be a teacher, though, he dreamed of being a musician. Even though he took a different path, he continues to play the guitar outside of school.

When deciding on a different career path, he remembered his fifth grade teacher Mr.Penta. This teacher was Mr. Santucci’s favorite and his uplifting teaching style created a passion of learning for Mr. Santucci. He took this passion and started teaching at South Eastern Regional Vocational High School.

In regards to Westborough High School, Mr. Santucci enjoys the friendly atmosphere. He loves having the opportunity to teach because the response he receives from his students. Yet one down fall to teaching he says is grading papers.

One goal Mr. Santucci has for his students is “I want to allow all of my students to reach their full potential.”
