If you are looking for a way to wind down after a long day, look no further. Deelicious Baking is a small business located in Westborough that prides itself on making comforting homemade desserts. 

Founded and owned by Rasmi Vinay, this bakery offers a variety of desserts including cakes, macaroons, and cupcakes. 

The presentation of the desserts is impeccable from the thoughtful packaging to the neatly placed garnishes. I purchased the Chocolate Zucchini Cake, Coconut Cake, and the Heavenly Lemony Bundt Mini Cake, and all three were sealed with a carefully designed sticker that read “Homemade With Love”. 

The Chocolate Zucchini cake was fluffy and had a rich flavor to it. At first, I wasn’t sure how zucchini would taste in a cake, but the classic chocolate cake flavor was not at all compromised by the addition of the zucchini. In fact, the consistency of the cake was exemplary; the zucchini just added a little bit of moisture to the cake which made it decadent. This cake is a must-try for all of the chocolate lovers out there. 

I also sampled the Coconut Cake. This cake was covered with a beautiful white frosting that had shredded coconut mixed in. The garnishes of strawberries and blackberries stood out as their bright colors were a nice contrast to the color of the frosting. This robustly flavored cake consisted of two layers with a light and creamy taste. 

The last cake I tried was the Lemony Bundt Mini Cake. The middle divot of the cake was filled with strawberries and lemon zest, which made for an excellent presentation. The texture of the cake was soft and full-bodied, and the lemon taste was easily distinguishable. This cake’s fresh and tangy taste makes it a perfect dessert to eat during the summer.         

Vinay bakes all of the cakes on her own, and you can tell that she puts an immense amount of effort into making high-caliber desserts. 

From the traditional flavors and also unique flavor combinations, this business is truly a special place.
