Teaching the skills of life must not be an easy job, but for one teacher it’s a breeze gone in the wind. This teacher is Ms. Jasmin, WHS Jobs for Bay State Grads teacher.

Ms. Jasmin’s interest was never towards teaching because she wanted to study Sports Marketing. She received her education from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.

Starting life with a good head on her shoulders and knowing she needed a job, directed Ms. Jasmin to an ad in the newspaper for a teaching job. She was hired by the JBSG program. JBSG is a door opener into helping young adults succeed in the real world. Students learn employment skills such as resume writing, interviewing skills, and work etiquette.

Teaching JBSG has been easy for Ms. Jasmin because she is so organized and knows the program very well. Ms. Jasmin’s teaching style is a tough one as she requires students to take lots of notes on the lessons presented. Then students must complete lesson-related activities and projects. Ms. Jasmin demands a lot from her students because she wants the best from her students. She wants her students to be able to independently succeed in life.

Through her teaching experience, Ms. Jasmin now hopes to be a school counselor. She is currently taking college classes towards completing her goal. Students describe her as an angel; Ms. Jasmin puts in a lot of hard work in helping her students to obtain the best work skills possible. Not only does she want her students to be solid employees, but good people.
