This past Friday evening, the WHS Student Council hosted a Homecoming dance in the lobby. There was a jungle theme for the homecoming dance which carried over to the homecoming festival the following afternoon. Students began entering the lobby door at 7, decked out in their finest junger attire. This school dance gave WHS students something to do on their Friday night and also something to make them feel like part of the school community. With tickets being 5 dollars, student council was also able to raise money. In past years the number of dances has decreased but hopefully after this past Friday night there might be more. The homecoming dance raised not only a lot of talk amongst the students but also excitement. It was a fun and safe way for students to all be together on a weekend night and get excited for the game the next day. Overall, this WHS homecoming dance was a positive experience and was a great way for the school to come together.
