After yesterday’s rain out at Algonquin, the Boys’ Tennis team is again preparing for the biggest match of the year. Scheduled for today at 3:00 at Saint John’s in Shrewsbury, the squad will take on Lexingoton for the Division 1 A state title. Speaking about the opportunity, freshman Samukh Pathi said, “We’re real excited to play for a championship, it’ll be a tough match, but I think we’re ready.”
This confidence carries over throughout the team as junior Anuraag Gopaluni stated how he feels the team is ready but that the team can’t play “mediocre tennis,” but instead play their “best match of the year.”
The team is currently undefeated with a 21-0 record and has only dropped two sets the entire season.
