The Varsity Girls’ Soccer team recently qualified for districts as they continue their undefeated season with a record of 11-0-2. Their last game on Tuesday was a 4-2 victory against Quabbin. The team has tied Nashoba and Wachusett, and is hoping to pull out another win against one of their toughest competitors, Algonquin, home on October 19.
Senior Co-Captains Kylie Bradley and Katie Litwin lead the team, while Coach Paul Mumby encourages hard work and determination. These factors in addition to strong chemistry and athleticism have helped them to consistently win games.
Sophomore Carly Flahive, second year varsity forward comments, “So far we have had a great season. We’re hoping to keep it undefeated.”
With only five regular season games left to go, the chances are pretty high. The team’s next game is on Friday, October 18 at 3:00 pm at Burncoat.
