Have you ever heard about smartphone pinky? This condition has to do with how you hold your phone which affects the bone in your pinky. A solution to this problem is to buy a popsocket! The popsocket was first created by David Barnett in 2012 and is now a growing sensation.
A popsocket is mainly used to help someone hold their cellular device but that is not its only use. Popsockets can be used as a stand for a phone or a tablet, it could be a spot to wrap your earbuds on, or even can attach to a wall using PopClip. Popsockets are also a fun tool to fiddle with. They come in many different designs and colors; you can even create your own.
Popsockets became very popular since early 2017 and are continuing to grow in their popularity. They range from $5 to $15 depending on the color and design. Popsockets make great gifts for a birthday. USA Today named PopSockets among “the coolest tech you have to see.”
When asked about popsockets, WHS freshman Rhea Balasubramanian says, “I feel that popsockets are a really unique and inventive idea when used to their fullest extent, such as using it as stand or placement for your fingers. Personally, I use mine to get a better grip on my iPhone 6s plus, for comfort purposes and as an accessory.”
Balasubramanian also states, “I have a passion for popsockets.”
Whether you are in need of a birthday present or you just need something to fiddle with, popsockets are a great choice!
