This past Monday,Westborough High School’s Future Business Leaders of America traveled to Bentley University for a statewide FBLA conference. FBLA members around the state received results from a previous competitions on varied business subjects. Four WHS students received awards for their achievement in these competitions. Senior Gerad Sockol earned second place in both economics and personal finance, junior Samantha Mack received third place in accounting and entrepreneurship, and senior Bisi Chikwendu, and juniors Taryn Israel and Lea Inhaber all earned second place in management decision making.
Club advisor Mrs. Darrell Potosnak has been in FBLA for much of her life. She was a member of the club in high school and participated in Phi Beta Lambda, the college equivalent to FBLA. Mrs. Potosnak is very proud of the achievements of her FBLA students. Those who earned top spots at the state competition are eligible to compete in the national competitions in Chicago, Il at the end of June.
