Westborough High has a competition team this year? This is a phrase that hasn’t been thrown around Westborough High School in over twenty years. With the help of Jennifer Metivier , the solo varsity cheerleading coach here at Westborough High, the 2013-2014 fall cheerleading team will be competing in their very first competition season.
Although tensions are high this upcoming comp season is looking very hopeful. Although lots of blood, sweat, and tears (literally) have been shed the work is worth i”. Westborough High School will be going head to head with other high school teams in the area. This is a scary thought since many of these teams have competed prior to this year. However, this has not slowed down the girls; it motivates the team as a whole to push even harder to show these teams that Westborough is back and ready to win.
All of the girls on the team are extremely excited to compete this year. It’s a whole new atmosphere for the team. Although, the thought can be daunting and a little scary to compete in front of so many people for the very first time, it is something that the team as a whole needs to push through. With only five weeks left till the first competition on October 26 it’s crunch time. Cheer loud and be proud. Let’s bring it home Lady Rangers!
