The Westborough boys’ soccer team defeated Grafton in the season opener with a score of 5-0. The Rangers were able to take care of opportunities early and often. Jamie Plowman netted two goals for the Rangers, one goal shy of a hat trick.
Charlie Burress, Eithan Peterson, Carter Reynolds also scored in the blow out of a game. Team Captain Steven Frame said,” The game was a good test for us. It is nice to win the first game especially in fashion that we won it in and I believe we can keep this trend going.
With most of the starters returning from last year’s team and experience on their side the Rangers look to make some noise this season and return to the playoffs.
The boys’ soccer team plays its next game against Nashoba where they will be faced with a very tough task. The Rangers’ this year have a very tough schedule so the goal is to win as many games as possible before they hit a streak of exceptional opponents.
