Countdown to April Break!
Have a Wonderful Break!

A Goodbye to WHS

By Sara Houle

As my time here at WHS comes to a close, I look back on my four years here and realize how much I love this school. Other people can’t wait to get out of this school and graduate. I was the same way for a few years but as I start reflecting on my time here, I realized how much I owe to this school. The friendly faces and great teachers have made me realize how much of a community this school is and I couldn’t be more thankful for that. There are so many people that deserve a thank you and I don’t think I could put it better any other way.

To my sixth period Lobby O interns, thank you for listening to my everyday rants and always being here to make me laugh after a bad day. Thank you for making my senior year so much more enjoyable. I don’t think my senior year would be anywhere near the same without you guys. The bonds we’ve created and all of the knowledge we have shared is something I will keep with me forever.

To the senior class, it’s been wonderful growing up with all of you. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my 12 years of schooling with anybody else. It’s been amazing to grow up with such supportive, amazing people. It has been great to be part of such a wonderful community of people.

To my mom, I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for me. Thank you for being by my side and being incredibly supportive no matter what.  You have made me who I am and I wouldn’t change it at all. Even though I don’t act like it all of the time, I really do love you. I don’t think words can sum up how thankful I truly am for you.

To Mrs. Stoker, my school mom, I can’t thank you enough for helping me grow not only as a student but as a person. Thank you for supporting me and giving me daily encouragement. You have given me a voice in this school and in my daily life. I don’t think I have ever had a teacher as caring and loving as you. Our relationship is something that I will hold in my heart forever. Thank you for a great four years.

To my best friends, thank you for everything. I don’t think I would have survived high school without you guys by my side. I don’t think there is anything better to say than thank you. You both have stuck by my side through some of the hardest times and I can’t thank you enough.

To the incoming freshman, don’t stress too much about everything. It all works out in the end. Don’t be afraid of the upperclassman, we like to see you succeed and we want what’s best for you. Don’t forget to enjoy your time here at WHS because these four years go by faster than you’ll ever thing possible.

To my younger brother, Max, as you enter your junior year, I hope you take the time to learn everything you can. Never stop trying to be the best person you can be and never put down that baseball bat. I can’t wait to see all of the places you’ll go, kid. I can not thank you enough for everything. From our rides to school in the morning to our awkward encounters in the hallway, I wouldn’t change a thing. I know you’ll do great things. Don’t ever forget where you came from.
