Last fall, the Boys Varsity Golf Team won their third straight League Championship, leaving their mark on the Central Mass Division B league. This season however, is a completely different story; after graduating seven out of their top nine players, the boys are rebuilding their team from top to bottom.
With the only returning starters from last years winning team being senior captain Jeff Arnold and sophomore Jon Rodenbush, the squad is left without much high school experience thus far. However, Coach Greg Rota is remaining optimistic, with key players sophomore Kevin Ji and freshmen Kevin Flahive and Ryan French, the team is sure to be a hard competitor in even some of their hardest matches this season.
The young team’s first match of the season is against Groton-Dunstable Regional High School at the Westborough Country Club at 3:30pm on Thursday, September 3.

I agree with the idea that the golf team, although very young, will compete with the best of them
