Over the course of this season the girls lacrosse team has held a good record. Currently they are 13-4 with their first postseason win against Northampton who was one seed above the Rangers.

It was expected to be a close game, but the Rangers worked hard and were able to earn a 13-9 win. Coach Debish said that the first half of the game the Rangers were beating themselves, but the second half when they slowed things down the Rangers were able to get a more comfortable lead.  She also said that both goalies played great and goalie Kaleigh Wright had some great outlet passes which helped the Rangers win.

The Rangers are now on to the semifinals where they will be playing Longmeadow, which is a very strong program with a record of 18-3.

They have yet to see a win in a game against Longmeadow, making this a very big game for the Rangers. Last time they played Longmeadow was in the 2014 semifinals where they ended up falling 13-6. Longmeadow had 8 division 1 recruits on their team last year, making them a strong team to beat.

Although Longmeadow is going to be a tough opponent, Coach Debish remains very optimistic saying “I think we can play with them as long as we play two good halfs”. Coach Debish also added that she feels the team is strong, there isn’t one clear standout player, both goalies are very strong and so is the the team in front of them.
