Claude Julien is a phenomenal coach, he led the Bruins to two Stanley Cup finals and won one of them in 2011, however,he is no longer the right fit for the Bruins anymore. This is the first time in the last 8 seasons that the Bruins haven’t made it to the playoffs. They literally went from first to worst really quickly. Last season they were the number one seed in the entire league and this year they were the 17th seed. That is a huge reason that it’s time for Claude Julien to go.

While Julien has tons of hockey IQ his coaching style just isn’t right for the team anymore. The Bruins made major changes to their roster last year and as a result, they acquired a lot of rookies like David Pastrnak who are great hockey players and have so much untapped potential.

The younger players need a coach who centers the playing around that speed and strong  offense and someone who can figure out how to use those strong skills that they do have  to win games.

I think that if they acquire a new coach who can really work with these younger players, they have a lot of potential to be a really successful team this upcoming season in the future. Claude Julien is just not the one who is going to take them there.
