On the evening of Tuesday, March 10 at the Westborough Public Library, a group of teenagers from Worcester, North Brookfield, and Westborough gathered for a slam poetry workshop and an open mic. The workshop was sponsored by an AT & T grant and the open mic was sponsored by a Westborough Cultural Council grant.
“It was a really good experience. It was a relaxed environment to share poetry with other people who are doing the same thing. I love performing and feeding off the crowd and the energy. Even if it’s a little crowd. It’s electric,” comments WHS sophomore Kofi Dadzie.
