The commanders made a franchise altering move this offseason by adding 6”4, 210-pound, athletic freak: Jayden Daniels. Daniels was the second overall pick in this past NFL draft and so far he has caught the eye of many fans, coaches, players and executives around the league. Coming off such a shocking season, going 4-13, the Commanders knew it was necessary to make a move and grab one of the most versatile athletes in the draft.
So far this season, Daniels has thrown for over 1400 yards, rushed for 372 yards which is the second best for all quarterbacks in the NFL. Along with accounting for 10 of the team’s touchdowns. He has also led the team to an impressive 5-2 record. This is one more win than the Commanders had in 17 games last season.
Many executives around the league are questioning if Daniels can keep this insane production up throughout the year. As throughout the years of the NFL it is extremely rare to see a rookie quarterback dominate the league for an entire season.
With this being said, I feel Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders can keep up this start with Jayden Daniels’s talent and his standout weapons around him, such as Terry McLaurin, Brian Robinson Jr, Austin Ekeler, and many more.
What makes Daniels so special is he really brings out the talent in the other guys around him. For example, as mentioned above Terry McLaurin is a star player for the commanders and has a massive contribution to the team. But before this year, league experts such as authors from fantasy pros believed McLaurin would be a massive bust this year. But with Daniels, both Mclaurin and Daniels are shocking the world and playing out of their minds.
Overall, I believe Jayden Daniels is an MVP candidate and will dominate the league for years to come.
