The Bruins who started as one of the favorites to win the Stanley Cup at the start of the 2022-2023 season have had an amazing season. The Bs were able to make history over the weekend as the first team to earn 63 wins in a NHL season. The current record before that was held by the Montreal Canadians who had 62 wins in 1976-1977. The Bs who have had this record season have been winning games both home and away throughout the season, despite at the start of the season was filled with injuries. They also were able to pass the point record as well.

One of their star players Brad Marchand was injured at the end of last season and was not able to make a comeback until a couple months later in the season. Fortunately, he was able to make a comeback much faster than even the Bruins thought.

One of the Bruins leading scorers and the points throughout the season was David Pastranak. Pastranak led the team with a total of 109 points throughtout the season. He had a total of 60 goals and a total of 49 points. Other players who had a major impact on the team was left wing Brad Marchand and also center Patrice Bergeron who also had many of the points this season.

In an article on NHL.com, the head coach of the Bruins Jim Montgomery said “We are excited about the team.” He also said that the team would have a good chance to win the Stanley Cup. Other players have stated their excitement as well saying they also thought they had a good chance of winning.

The Bruins opponent has not been finalized, but they will be the number one overall seed in the Eastern Conference. They have been able to pull away on all the other teams in the eastern conference. They will have home ice. . So the question is can the Bruins win the Stanley Cup Championship and really be claimed the best team in the NHL?
