Senior Jack Pierce has been on the golf team here at Westborough High School since the fall of his sophomore year. Improving steadily since his first season, Pierce is a returning starter and Varsity captain. Along with being the team’s emotional leader he is also a key piece to their success.
“The team looks really good so far. Although, we did have a rough match against Shrewsbury, we still plan on winning the ‘ship,” says Pierce.
As a new captain this season, Pierce has had new experiences, along with upcoming goals. “Being a varsity captain puts you in an important position as a leader and role model…I hope to win the league this year.”
The team is now 4-2 with a key win over Marlborough at home. Their next match is today at Westboro Country Club against Hudson.
