Student Council and Class Officer elections were held for the classes of 2012, 2013, and 2014 on Friday, April 29th. Below are the results.
Class of 2012
All four class officer positions had the incumbents running unopposed. Erin Collins remains Class President, Billy Casey Vice President, Lindsey Ward Secretary and Sarah Kalinowski Treasurer.
The six student council members from the class will be Cambre Colon, Will Hefferman, Ayako Mikami, Josh Saari, Ali Strand, and Linda Wang.
Class of 2013
Incumbent President Joy Cho was opposed on the ballot by Dan Terry. However, during his speech right before the election, Terry dropped out of the race and endorsed Cho. This left Cho the unopposed winner. Ani Somasundaram beat Kevin Neil for Vice President. In a four way race for Secretary Jamie Cerny emerged as the winner. Mark Aronson won reelection to treasurer as an unopposed candidate.
The six student council representatives are: Jack Bernatchez, Nishant Joshi, Guhan Krishnan, Jennifer Riley, Jeff Saltzman, and David Tubman.
Class of 2014
Mia Natale won a five-way race for Class President. Addie Egan defeated incumbent Adhu Krishnan, while Claire Gitkind ran unopposed for Class Secretary. Riley Taylor beat out Liz Hastings for Class Treasurer.
The six student council elected representatives are: Ciara Bower, Kerry Chen, Ashley Chiu, Jordan DeArmond, Fred Lu, and Rebecca Sullivan.
Please note that the elected student council representatives from each class will be joined by walk-on representatives in the coming week. The Student Council will be led by its Executive Board. Next year’s executive board was chosen a couple of weeks ago by the current Student Council. The Executive Board will be made up of the following people:
