Rocco’s February Sweet Menu

Steph Hogan '23 and Lily Vaughan '23

Are you looking for a spot to grab a quick coffee and sweet treat? Maybe even pick something up for your valentine? With a wide variety from doughnuts and delicious breakfast sandwiches to all different flavors of coffee, Rocco’s is bound to have something for everyone!

With a new menu updated monthly and a mix of new and returning flavors of doughnuts, Rocco’s February menu has launched and has us excited. In the Valentine’s Day spirit, Rocco’s has a limited-edition special — a box of six heart-shaped doughnuts. Additionally, there are new doughnut flavors like Brown Butter Salted Coffee Cake, Strawberries and Cream, Cannoli, and White Chocolate Raspberry.

Don’t worry if you always look forward to your classics: they aren’t going anywhere. Chocolate Frosted Sprinkle, Honey Glazed, and Boston Cream will still be available.

Although this shop is known for its massive and well-decorated doughnuts, they also sell delicious coffee, New York-style bagels, and breakfast sandwiches.

Lily’s favorites:

I love coffee and purchased a coconut iced coffee which did not disappoint. Similar to the doughnut selection, Rocco’s offers a wide variety of flavors for iced coffee anywhere from peanut butter to caramel. I opted for a small coffee and it was the perfect size for me. The coffee was creamy and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The combination of the sweet coconut and the somewhat bitter coffee was right on and delicious!

For my doughnut, I stuck with the traditional Cookies and Cream doughnut. It was decorated very nicely and looked delicious, but it was very sweet and a little dry. If you love chocolate, this is definitely the doughnut for you, but I’d recommend splitting the doughnut with a friend because it was too big for me to finish. Another doughnut that caught my eye was the Frutti Pebbles doughnut. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to try it, but I will definitely order it the next time I come to Rocco’s.

Steph’s favorites:

I came into Rocco’s and purchased a Strawberries and Cream doughnut. I am not a huge fan of doughnuts to begin with, but I was very impressed with this one! The fresh strawberries were a nice touch as they added a bit of freshness compared to the sweetness of the doughnut. It was much bigger than the standard doughnut you may find elsewhere, but the Strawberries and Cream is a great flavor combination and festive for Valentine’s Day.

All in all, you get what you pay for at Rocco’s. Their doughnuts are huge, the coffee is BLACK, and the breakfast sandwiches are warm. It’s important to note that Rocco’s is a grab-and-go doughnut shop with no seating. However, the staff is very friendly, efficient, and helpful. The shop is clean, and you receive your order fast. We recommend going to Rocco’s earlier in the day as the shop has limited stock on flavors.

Along with their locations in Millbury and Westborough, Rocco’s just opened up a new location in Worcester. If you are in the area, Rocco’s is worth stopping by!

In our opinion, if you are looking for a place to get some delicious doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches, or coffees, Rocco’s is the best place around.
