Senior Michelle Stevens’ artwork was displayed on September 5th-7th at the Boston Calling Music Festival. Stevens attended with her friends and family in the VIP section, and saw her piece featured at the Boston Plaza. “If every person walked by my artwork at least once, it would have been seen 45,000 times. And that’s pretty awesome.” Stevens commented. She spent three consecutive weeks working on the mural, and was very proud of how it came out. In addition, Stevens enjoyed watching the bands at the festival, especially The 1975 whose hit “Chocolate” reached the top ten on iTunes this year. Along with Stevens’ piece, there were four other artists showcasing their artwork. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to meet them all, but being able to see them inspired her further. Currently, Stevens is continuing her passion of art in her AP Studio Art class here at WHS. She hopes to enter more contests in the future.
