A “Glowing” Dance

Student Council is back for another school year and this past Friday night marked the first dance of the year: the glow in the dark Welcome Back dance. Students dressed up in neon colors and some even cracked glow sticks on their clothing to get in the spirit of the event. The night was filled with lights and dancing as members of the Student Council passed out glowing glasses, necklaces, and bracelets to those who came. Chairperson Ciara Bowser says, “The dance was a huge success and a great kick off to the school [year]. Student Council worked really hard and we hope everyone enjoyed it.”

Even though a fuse blew at one point, spirits couldn’t be dampened and the night continued. Student Council has many more events in the works. After a few summer meetings and the annual summer retreat, everything is back in full swing as the council works at concession stands, welcomed the freshmen class with the banner of stars, and will volunteer this weekend at the Assabet River Clean-up and the Florence House to babysit.
