The six and half years I have spent in the US have been the best years of my life so far. I learned and experienced a lot more here than I ever did back in Singapore. Though Singapore still holds a special place with me, my time spent in this great country is much cherished.
I moved here in the seventh grade. Many people say getting through middle school is the tough part, and that high school would be a breeze if you survived middle school. Surprisingly, I had no trouble or issues getting along with my new classmates. They made me feel welcomed and at home and I have to thank all of them for accepting me as their own. The first friend I made was Kevin Kotosky, with whom I had great times with. Even though we are not as close as friends as we used to be now in high school, he is still a great friend. A personal thanks and congrats to Will Kenyon and the Plummers, who have been my best friends for these six years.
Some of my good friends are from the football team. I would like to thank all my teammates for being there for me and respecting me for who I am. Guys like Tucker Mckinnon, Dan Potts, Richard Sterndale, and Nick Coggin made football fun and worthwhile for me and I thank them. Coach Ellis, Coach Reed, and Coach Chapman taught me a lot and I learned different things from each of them. Mr. Anderson helped me a lot in my track and field events and I have improved a lot thanks to him. All the guys with whom I have played any kind of sports with; thank you and I had a lot of fun.
Finally, I would like to extend my gratitude to all the teachers I have had, especially those who were gracious enough to write me my college recommendations. Mrs.Potosnak, Ms.Brown and Ms. Clancy, I learned a lot from you guys and your help throughout these years is much appreciated. I didn’t think I could love history more until I met Mr.O’Brien. He is quite possibly the most knowledgeable person I have ever known. Ms. Smith, I enjoyed being in your English classes for 3 straight years, mostly because I knew exactly when you were going to give those reading quizzes and read for those days. Good luck seniors and thanks once again for making my six and a half years here in Westborough a memorable one.
