Countdown to April Break!
Have a Wonderful Break!

    Didn’t Rain on Our Parade

It is hard to believe that the end of the year is approaching; yet, it is clearly drawing nearer.  The seniors’ last day of school, Junior Prom, Senior Ball, final sports competitions, concerts, clubs’ officer elections for next year, and banquets mark the encroaching last day of school. Student Council’s year is ending as well. Elections for next year’s EBoard took place before April vacation and the last few events are coming to a close. Film Festival was this past Thursday and showcased the talent of student directors, actors, and animators on the silver screen.

Kiss a Senior Goodbye sales ended this week. Students were able to purchase packages of Hershey’s Kisses at lunch for graduating seniors. Several packages were sold and we spent a day after school preparing these for delivery.

Yesterday afternoon was the Student Council Yard Sale. With rain in the forecast, we were nervous of a washout but the day turned out to be beautiful. Not only did it not rain, but we also sold some interesting items including a television, bicycles, a globe, small kitchen appliances, old Disney VHS tapes, and a fishing rod among many others. It turned out to be a great day.

The Student Council’s banquet will be held this week and this year will begin to come to a close. It has been a great year on Council between very successful events and winning the honors of both MASC Gold Council and National Gold Councils.
