Do you love the taste of pumpkin spice mixed with whipped cream? Well there is a perfect drink out there for you. Starbucks and Dunkin recently released their new fall drinks to their menu. Along with the new Starbucks fall drink, there are a bunch of new additions added to the Dunkin fall Menu.
Dunkin’s Pumpkin spice latte is made with whole milk, 3 pumpkins, 3 vanillas, topped with wonderful whipped cream, a dash of cinnamon, and a drizzle of caramel. Starbucks’ pumpkin spiced frappuccino is quite similar with whole milk, 2 shots of espresso, 4 pumpkin sauces, whipped cream, and pumpkin spice toppings.
We went ahead and tried a drink from each place, the flavors from both reminding us of a chilly fall day. While both drinks taste pretty similar, Dunkin’s pumpkin spice signature definitely had more sweetness and pumpkin flavor. If you enjoy a more sweet pumpkin drink, then Dunkin is the way to go. If less pumpkin and a stronger coffee flavor is your cup of tea than Starbucks’ pumpkin spice frappe is calling your name.
Both Dunkin and Starbucks’ fall drinks are delicious; they taste the same but a big difference is their pricing. If you’re willing to spare a few more dollars for a richer taste than Starbucks, and their $6.25 drink, definitely won’t disappoint you. With more sweetness and a lower price, Dunkin’s $4.39 drink will get you up and moving.
So which coffee chain delivers better fall drink items Starbucks or Dunkin?
The answer to that may depend on your own personal preference and what you are looking for to start your morning. If you crave a lighter, more flowy drink to start your morning then Starbucks would be the way to go, however if you want more of that rich deeper taste to start your morning off then Dunkin might be the way to go!
