I was walking down the halls with my senior tour guides, who showed me where to go and where everything was. They seemed so sure of themselves, and I genuinely believed that when I got to where they were someday, I would be the same.
Fast forward to the beginning of my senior year, I was freaking out. Summer was over, and I had to start sending out college applications. I couldn’t understand how my four years at this school could feel so long yet go by so fast. My little sister, a freshman, is in the same position I was in a few years ago. A wide-eyed freshman ready to take on high school and filled with curiosity, and excited to grow up and start making decisions by herself. I wanted to tell her to take it slow and enjoy these years, be a kid.
My friends and I always used to joke about how ready we were to get out of this place and graduate. We used to count down the years until we could graduate.
I have unknowingly created so many memories in just four years of my life. I remember creating many new friendships, winning so many swim meets with my teammates, stressing out for midterms and finals with my friends, and so much laughter.
I wish luck to the upcoming classes at the Westborough High School! Some advice I would give is to savor every moment, be open to new experiences, and most importantly have fun.
