Mooyah is a well-known burger spot located in the Northborough Crossings shopping plaza. This restaurant has been here for quite some time now but it is still a great place to grab a bite to eat. This is just one of many other burger places in town, yet it’s possibly the best of them all.
Mooyah offers many outstanding, unique types of burgers, custom build-your-own burgers, hotdogs, turkey burgers, fries, and amazing milkshakes. There is a very diverse selection of options which are all great choices.
As someone who enjoys a good burger, I had very high standards for Mooyah. I tried the MDC which is just your regular double cheeseburger. The sandwich consisted of two juicy ground beef patties each with a perfect slice of gooey American cheese melted overtop. This is laid upon a bed of lettuce smothered in their signature Mooyah sauce which is topped with a slice of tomato. All of this is placed between a fluffy brioche bun with a nice buttery crisp. The taste was incredible. The two smash patties are cooked to a point of almost being crispy which adds to the texture. The sauce is your simple burger sauce but does bring on a unique tang. It was a very similar burger to the Wayback burger here in Westborough. Wayback and Mooyah both use similar ingredients that make up for a similar burger. For $8.99, this burger is definitely on the expensive side but makes up for the steep price with its taste.
Along with the MDC, I also tried the french fries. I ordered the personal fries for $2.99. I was surprised by the number of fries that came with just the personal order. However, it was still a little pricey which is the theme for this spot. Despite the price, the fries were delicious. They had perfect crispy skin with a lot of salt on top which I enjoyed. Especially compared to fries like Wayback, which have no salt, I thought these were really good. These fries were some of the best I have ever had.
Lastly, for a sweet treat, I also ordered the Oreo milkshake for $4.19. This shake was cheaper than Waybacks which are over two dollars more expensive. The shake was very creamy and had a lot of Oreo pieces in it which I enjoyed. However, the consistency was a little too thick for my liking and it was hard to get up the straw. The taste was amazing, sweet but not too sweet. Personally, I thought it was a better deal than Wayback’s shake as it tasted the same and was two dollars cheaper.
Overall, I was very impressed by Mooyah and its menu. While it was a little expensive, in my opinion, it was worth it due to how good the food was. The burger was definitely one of the best I have ever had, the fries were super crispy and salty, and the shake was a delicious sweet treat to complete the meal. I highly recommend driving to Northborough Crossings to grab yourself a Mooyah burger and shake to enjoy.
