If you’re a music fan in 2024 few names are more important than hip-hop artist Future. Future is by no means an up-and-coming artist with his debut album coming in 2012, since then he has been busy, by this date now Future has 9 studio albums (two this year), 3 collaborative albums, 20 mixtapes (one on the way later this year), and 117 singles.
Future’s legendary 2024 run was kicked off with his album, WE DON’T TRUST YOU made with Grammy-nominated producer, Metro Boomin, Metro has produced many notable songs partnering with artists such as Kanye West and even producing the entire soundtrack for the movie Spiderman Across the Spider-Verse. This album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 100 and sold 251,000 equivalent album copies. The song Like That, had a surprise feature from Kendrick Lamar went number one, and subsequently started the viral beef between him and Drake.
Then a month later Future followed this album up with a sequel album WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU, this album contained 25 songs with features from A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, and J.Cole. The album sold 127,000 equivalent album copies and was mostly well-received. In the months following this album Future featured on popular songs such as Promotion and Dead by Kanye West.
Now Future is gearing up to release his 21st mixtape called “Mixtape Pluto” with speculated features from Playboi Carti, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott. If this project is anything like what Future has released this year hip-hop fans should be very excited.
