Some people may only know Noah Kahan as the man behind “Stick Season,” but the singer-songwriter has been climbing to new heights in the world of music for quite some time now.
Just last week, the born and bred New Englander was Grammy nominated for Best New Artist of the Year, something he was extremely excited about and proud of, as seen on his Instagram. Through laughter and tears, he shouts “Let’s gooooooo I can’t believe they just said my name!” Kahan will also be going on Saturday Night Live on December 2, a dream he’s been wishing for since 2021 when he tweeted “I wanna perform on SNL I don’t even care if it’s a off brand version called Sunday Night Live just get me on the show I’ll do anything.” Now two years later, he’ll perform alongside guest host Emma Stone.
On top of these accomplishments, starting in February, Noah Kahan will be traveling across the United Kingdom, Europe, and back to the United States for his “We’ll All Be Here Forever” tour. Due to “massive fan demand,” dates were added to his tour including big venues such as Madison Square Garden and Fenway Park. In Boston, he’ll perform on July 18 and 19 with special guest, Mt. Joy.
Kahan’s lyrics are very personal, raw, and vulnerable and often connect with his struggles with mental health both before his music career took off, as well as during its height. Through his platform as an artist, Noah Kahan created the Busyhead Project to raise awareness of the constant stigmas surrounding mental health and provide resources to those struggling to get the help they need. As of right now, the initiative has raised over $2 million, which is just incredible. A portion of these funds originate from Kahan’s ticket sales. Kahan donated a portion of every ticket sold in his 2023 tour to the project. His humility and passion for both his music and mental health awareness is what truly makes him so down-to-earth and inspiring.
Check out his newest collaboration with Hozier, a new version of his song “Northern Attitude,” which was released two weeks ago!
