The Return of the Faculty/Student Lip Sync Battle: A Success

Yael Bugaev '24 and Mimi Walker '23

The anticipated return of the Faculty/Student lip sync battle took place last night on Thursday at 7:00. Teachers such as Mr. Martin, Ms. Stoker, Ms. Papetti, Mr. McIntryre, Mr, Parsons, Mr. Callaghan,  and many more danced and lip synced to disco, country, and pop songs. The show was a big hit for students and faculty.

Out of 7 extremely talented teams, sophomore Ryan Summers accompanied by Ms. Deboer, Ms. Titus, Mrs. McCoskery won the competition receiving the loudest cheers and applause as well as the coveted disco ball.

As senior Steph Hogan said in her previous article, this event was a fundraiser to raise money for the World Central Kitchen and United Nations World Food Program. So far the WHS community has raised almost $3000 of donations.

After 4 years without an in-person lip sync battle, it was great to bring back a loved WHS tradition and see the school come together for a bigger cause.

There’s still time to donate, help WHS meet their $5000 goal.
