The Lobby Observer as a whole generally does not interject opinion into our work. However, as an editorial staff, we firmly believe that we once again cannot remain silent. There is no place for racism against people who are Asian and Asian American. It is past time for this violence and hatred to stop in the United States. As a high school newspaper, we strive to give a platform to all voices, so we stand by our classmates and others around the nation who are demanding justice. America once again finds itself at a pivotal crossroads, and we will do our best to inform, educate, and support our viewers as we progress towards change. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those victimized in last week’s shootings in Atlanta.
