Here’s an inside look of what’s trending on the runway for the 2015  prom season. The thought of prom dresses brings the vision of long, sequined ball gowns, elegant from head to toe. Last year’s prom dresses showcased a number of lace fabrics and embellishments. After the 2014 collection full of lace, prom dress designers are staying with what worked. Not only is lace still in season, but the  feminine prom styles created with lace fabrications have spread.  Shapes are now including mermaid, column, ball gown and a-line designs.

Many of the traditional prom styles are still being seen on the runways. These dresses feature low backs, cut-out sides, and high front slits. Dresses are often made with chiffon skirts, illusion fabrics, and sequins. These traditional styles won’t go out of style as they have been continuously seen over again.

This years trends start off with high necklines. Necklines completely covered with illusion fabric and embellished with rhinestones have been reflected on the runway. High necklines also included halter tops and wide straps. This different style has quickly become popular for buyers. Other dress trends include two piece crop top dresses and backless dresses. Crop top dresses are being advertised as being able to wear the top and skirt again as separates, as backless dresses add a unique vibe to your look. These distinctive looks are limited as this new trend is just starting out.

Champagne and nude color fabrics have become a designer favorite. These top color prom dresses are not all thats trending. Navy, jewel tones like cranberry and emerald, as well as black have been spotted hot on the runway. Although these are the popular colors, designers are not limited to these colors.

Prom dresses in 2015 have made a breakout with new designs but still keeping it traditional. Elegant, long sequined ball gowns are showcased every year as the next prom season comes around. What’s trending for each prom dress season receive positive attention as this fun event is a once a year night for most. Picking a prom dress for each individual is an exciting time as great memories are shared that night.
