Fenty Beauty Launch:  A New Generation of Make-Up

The international pop singer Rihanna just released a beauty line that launched at every Sephora on Friday, September 8. The Fenty Beauty launch was inspired by Rihanna’s real name Robyn Fenty. By Wednesday, September 20, 8 out of the 10 dark shades had sold out on the Sephora website, showing just how popular the Beauty Launch has been.

Rihanna’s mission is to appeal to all types of women; to make her company all-inclusive. On Rihanna’s makeup line website she says, “Fenty Beauty was created for everyone: for women of all shades, personalities, attitudes, cultures and races…I wanted everyone to feel included.”

Her foundation line ranges between forty different shades of makeup, which have made it a best-seller amongst buyers. This may also be partially due to the lack of range in dark shades from different beauty lines. However, Rihanna didn’t stop at creating diverse dark shades. In fact, she also made a shade lighter than 110; which is unheard of in the makeup world.

Her ability and fearlessness to not worry about critics saying “that’s too light” or “people won’t like that” is what has made her brand so successful. Fenty Beauty has received remarkable comments from people all over the world; people with entirely different personalities and cultures. Naomi Campbell, a supermodel, says, “It’s about time a makeup line was created for every woman who wants to feel beautiful.”

An Albino woman named Krystal Robertson posted on Rihanna’s facebook page that she was thrilled that she found a foundation light enough in the Fenty line that matches her tone and doesn’t make her seem orange. She is one of the people who has wonderfully used Rihanna’s new lightest shade, one lighter than 110. She states in her trending facebook post, “My neck and face finally match each other…Also I’m albino I have no pigment so it is hard to get a nice match…I always end up orange.”

Rihanna has really outdone herself this time. In fact, she’s outdone and changed the game when it comes to the entire makeup world. Spreading happiness and beauty to anyone interested is Rihanna’s goal, and she is well on her way to accomplishing that goal.

    WOW! This is really amazing what Rihanna is doing in the industry. It’s so awesome that she creates foundations of all colors to match all women and allows them to feel comfortable. I love how you wrote it too! Great job
