Meet Addie Egan, vice president of the junior class. She works with the executive office and updates the student council on important information, making her a crucial part of the class office.
Egan’s favorite part about being a class officer is being a part of an organization that leads the school and helps the community. She finds it to be extremely rewarding when she and her fellow officers are able to pull together a successful event.
Egan has been a dedicated member of the high school community, as she has been on the student council since sixth grade. Although Egan has a lot of fun with student council, balancing with school work and everyday life can be difficult, but overall she says that it is manageable.
Her many years as a class officer has taught her the importance of giving back to the community, giving and getting respect from faculty and peers alike. Egan’s advice for students running for student council is to go for it and even if they don’t get elected she strongly urges people to still try for a walk on position.
