A lot of work was needed in order for this week to be successful. Many coaches set up the lights last Sunday for almost 3 hours. With the help of administration, police, and the  WHS student body, Under the Lights Week turned out to be a hit.

 The WHS Under the Lights Week kicked off the week with the field hockey game.

After the game, Athletic Director Johanna DiCarlo was impressed with the outcome. “We had lots of support from family and police which made the event successful. Also there were many fans that were well behaved, as well as the weather being key for the positive outcome of this event.”

 As the week progressed there were minor changes made, such as the positioning of lights. For the football game, with the large number of crowds that were expected,there was an increased presence by police and family.

 Although there are no plans for lights in the spring, In the future, the hope is to at least bring them back for another fall season.
