“The guys raced really well today on a difficult course. The team is really starting to come together,” remarked WHS Assistant Coach Jeremy Nute about asked the Boys’ Cross Country’s win against Groton-Dunstable.
Senior captains Zach Polich and Logan Scharen took second and third place respectively with top junior runner Brendan Robertson placing first.
Some highlights of the meet included the automatic win when Westborough jerseys took the first three places, as well as Robertson setting the new record for the course. The final score of the meet was 34-22.
The team looks forward to a meet against the Algonquin Tomahawks on Friday, October 1 and certainly towards the league meet at the end of the month.
