“We just didn’t connect today; the other team was very aggressive and quick to the ball,” stated Head Coach Colleen Debish.
The team lost yesterday in a 1-0 battle on their home turf against Oakmont High School. Although senior goalie Megan Sullivan had four saves, Oakmont managed to score a goal in the second half. Senior defenseman Emily Faherty helped hold off the Spartans for most of the game. Westborough had eight shots on net while Oakmont had five. Westborough also had three opportunities to score off corners in the first half, but couldn’t execute.
The Rangers record is 3-1. Their next game is Monday, September 20th at Gardner High School.
