Westborough Returns to a Full Memorial Day Parade

After a hiatus of 2 years due to Covid, Westborough will celebrate Memorial Day 2022 on May 30th with a full parade of over 20 units culminating with a ceremony at the Forbes Memorial Building. Sponsored by the Veterans Services Department and the Veterans Advisory Board, the celebration will feature marching bands, veterans and civic groups, floats, and a series of military vehicles.

Ken Ferrara, retired Veterans Service Officer for Westborough, will serve as Grand Marshall for the parade. Representatives of state and town government, clergy from town churches, and Westborough Police, Fire, and School music groups will participate as well.

Ceremonies at Veterans Minuteman Park, St Luke’s Cemetery, and Pine Grove Cemetery will be conducted prior to the parade which will form on South Street at 10:10 and proceed down South Street (with a stop at Midland Cemetery) through the rotary and to the Forbes Municipal Building for the beginning of 11AM presentations.

All veterans are invited and encouraged to attend and participate in the parade. There will be transportation available between the stops to assist those unable to march with the veterans unit. Flags for all and ice cream tickets for the young citizens will be provided to those attending.
