Helping the environment is important and at Westborough High School there is a club just for that cause. The club’s mission is to make the school environmentally friendly and to do this they have set up a terracycling system.

The club has set this up in the cafeteria to encourage students to make this school a better place. The bins are located at two different sides of the cafeteria and the trash that can be recycled are:  plastic bags, granola wrappers, snack bags, and juice pouches.

There is a garden set up near the turf which the club set up last year. It runs through the spring and summer and is a great way to earn community service. Another great way to earn community service is to help out is at the Heirloom Harvest which is Sundays after 1:30pm .They have also planned to try to bring composting to the school.

The officers of E-Club are John Pascarella, President, Sidhant Athilant,
Vice President, Mohita Abbaraju and Mayhar Sethi, Secretaries, and Dongpeng Xia, Treasurer.

Abbaraju who is passionate about the environment says, “This club is important. We’re talking about our own quality of life both in and out of school. We’re a really great club to join. It may not always be easy advocating for the environment – some people just don’t care – but we’re dedicated and know we can make a difference with the right attitude.”

All are welcome.  Their advisors are Mr. Huse and Ms. Snider. They meet every Wednesday in room B203.
