Attention Writers: Creative Writing Club is at WHS

By:  Amanda Picwick

Creative Writing Club is new this year at Westborough High School. It offers students who have a passion or interest for writing an outlet where they’re able to read other stories, improve their skills, and, of course, write.

Creative Writing Club is not just about writing; it’s also about having fun. The members strive to make the club a fun and low-stress environment in order for members to enjoy themselves while at meetings. Also, the club is not exclusively for future New York Times best selling authors; it’s for the students who have fun writing or want to improve. Whatever your reason for joining Creative Writing Club may be, you are welcome and you will have a great time.

As club vice president, junior Jack McGinn says, “Creative writing is a very fun club with a relaxing atmosphere. Creativity is encouraged. Weirdness is harnessed. Minds are engaged.”

Creative Writing Club isn’t the stereotypical writing club. As you can tell from McGinn’s jokes, it’s a lot of fun.

The officers are juniors Jack McGinn, Pranava Kumar, Zach Levine, Eric Gould, and Alex Mack. Mrs. Pelletier is the club advisor.

The first meeting will be on Thursday, September 28. Anyone with an interest in the club is welcome to attend.
