The 110 Grill

The 110 Grill

By Chloe Goebel

Never before hearing of the 110 Grill, I did not know what to expect.  It is a new small, local  chain restaurant owned by Robert Walker and Ryan Dion. The 110 grill has restaurants in Berlin, Chelmsford, Hopkinton, and Wayland, Massachusetts, as well as one in Nashua, New Hampshire.  I was very pleased with the 110 Grill in Hopkinton. My dining experience surpassed my expectations and I would definitely like to go back again.

The night began very well as i was seated immediately.  I did have a previous reservation, but even after showing up ten minutes beforehand they were still able to seat us right away.  The restaurant was very busy;  people were seated at every table and the bar was filled.  Many people even stood around the bar because there weren’t enough chairs.  There was some soft music, but it could just barely be heard over the voices of everyone in the restaurant.  However, you could easily hear the people around you when trying to have a conversation.  It was very comfortable and spacious which made eating dinner very enjoyable.

110 Grill is known for its classic American cuisine.  I started off with an order of sweet potato tots as an appetizer,  which came with a maple demi-glace which was marvelous.  They were not as crisp as most tater tots are, but they were overall very delicious.  As for my entree, I tried the Tuscan Salmon.  The salmon was served over a white bean and tomato ragout with sausage and arugula which was outstanding.  It fit perfectly with the taste of the salmon, making the meal delicious.  The food was well presented and was the perfect size. I did not get dessert, but they do offer many different choices such as a peanut butter cascade, and a mixed berry float.  The food was also a very reasonable price.  My entree only cost $22, and the desserts I mentioned both cost $7.   They also offer a kids menu along with a gluten free lunch and dinner menu.

As for the service, it was very efficient.  Our server was quick to put in our orders,  she also got our drinks right away and our food came in a matter of no time.  Many different servers were constantly checking on us, walking by us, and seeing if we needed anything. When I needed something, I could easily get their attention and didn’t have to wait for it The check also came immediately when we asked.

The 110 Grill is a very good place for a quick bite to eat on any night at a decent price.  I wouldn’t recommend large parties because they have no separate room that you could be in, but I think that for a party of up to ten people this would be a very good place to go.  No matter your party size, I would recommend making a reservation.  Although the food came fast, It is fairly busy with lots of people so a reservation could never hurt to save you from any possible wait.
