The boys varsity soccer team is looking strong for this 2016 fall season. Many seniors graduated from last year, but new seniors have stepped up to lead the team, one of these being Spencer Nagi.

Nagi, a senior captain of the boys varsity soccer team, speaks about his enthusiasm with the program. “It’s a great honor, I’ve always wanted to be a captain of the soccer team.”

During his early years of high school, Nagi has had the motivation to make the high school program thrive. He has had the opportunity to play for the varsity team since his sophomore year, being on very successful teams. The team looks to continue their winning ways this season, as most of the team is made up of upper-classmen.

After high school, Nagi plans on attending St. Joseph’s College of Maine to play soccer. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to pursue his passion in college soccer, as he has been playing his whole life.

In his spare time, Nagi works at the Extended Day Program through Community Education. Here, Nagi goes to the local Elementary schools to hang out with the kids; helping them with homework, sports and arts and crafts.

Nagi and the boys soccer team have the opportunity to be playing Under the Lights on Tuesday October 4th at 7:00 pm at the turf. The lights only come once every two years, so Spencer and the team are looking to capitalize on the chance vs Nipmuc Regional High School.
