Game of the Week is an up and coming tradition here at WHS; it started in the fall athletic season of this school year. Thinking of ways to get all students and fans involved in WHS spirit and sports, Coach Ellis came up with the idea for Game of the Week. During the season, every sports team has one home game that is considered “Game of the Week”. When there is a game of the week, students and fans are encouraged to come and bring friends to support the featured team.
Although Game of the Week is only in its first year, fall season games were a major success. This tradition will be carried out through the school year, including winter and spring sports.
There are many reasons why students should attend game of the week. The games allow students to become involved in school spirit in a different way than before. Coming to these games represents your support for our teams and our school. It is nice to attend these events as a fan, supporting all of our teams here at WHS.
Whether you are interested in the sport, have friends on the team, or want to show school spirit, Game of the Week is an excellent opportunity to become a fan.
Game of the Week is a wonderful addition to WHS school spirit. Every event, there are different activities going on. There are punch cards, raffles, and opportunities to win t-shirts or gift cards. Come support our Ranger teams!
