A fundraiser many people in Westborough High School have been seeing flyers and hearing announcements about is Dress for Success. This program is an organization for women who are financially disadvantaged, and although they have work skills, they cannot afford the proper outfits for job interviews and work.
Facing History and Ourselves is senior social studies elective at WHS that has been offered for the past two years. I am currently taking this course, and I am very thankful for being a part of such a great class.
When we think of Holiday Ball, we think of gossiping with friends about boys, cute outfits, car arrangements, and after parties; but this year was a little different. Aside from Junior Prom and Senior Ball (both grade exclusive dances); Holiday Ball is usually the most anticipated, attended dance at WHS. As soon as December rolls around, the first snow day and the big dance are the two big events which to look forward.
Mrs. Frederick (better known as Keitha) and Mrs. Benoit (also known as Tootie), Westborough High School’s front office administrative assistants, are a very cheerful, efficient duo! Often overlooked, our secretaries play a major part in the smooth operation of our school. Without them, the school would soon grind to a halt.
“The Blind Side” is an inspirational true story about a poor, African-American young man named Michael Oher who is from inner city Memphis. He is taken in by a wealthy white family and through their support and Michael’s personal determination; he ends up playing in the national football league.
