Snoopy The Musical!!!: Coming to Westborough

The Peanuts are back in another adorable and memorable adventure. The sequel to the well-known and beloved musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” is coming to Westborough Gibbons Middle School on November 6-8th. Join Charlie Brown and Snoopy at school as they learn about Edgar Allen Poe and as Snoopy remembers his old days back at Daisy Hill–enjoy two hours of fun you will never forget!
The Westborough Players Club is behind this entertaining family musical. The Players have been putting on shows for the public since 1936. Director Brian Kelly and producer Jackie Hughes are working extremely hard to cerate a show that people of all ages will enjoy.
The ages of the cast range from 8-15. “I think the talent this year is really awesome,” says Kelly. As a new member of the Westborough Players Board, he “didn’t really know what to expect coming into it, but I’m actually really quite pleasantly surprised that a group of eight to fifteen year olds are so talented!”
“Snoopy!!!” features music, dancing, acing, and enjoyable entertainment for the whole family. “There’s a lot of good music, a lot of great acting, it’s very funny,” says one ensemble member. Another member says that musical preparations are going “too fast” as there’s less than a month left until production day.
The cast is struggling to get everything together, but even through ups and downs and twenty-five “hyper” kids, Kelly says that they “can pick up things so quickly and take directions so well…. I couldn’t be happier.”
The play will debut at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, and the matinee is at 2:00 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $10 each and there is also a special group rate.
