Cradles to Crayons is a club whose objective is to assist unprivileged children ages varying from birth to age 12. The goal is to supply these kids with essential supplies the kids need to succeed in school and at home. Cradles to crayons supplies kids with items varying from new clothes, shoes, books, and toys.
The items are collected and packaged by volunteers at a warehouse or by the club. Here at Westborough, club presidents Casey McNamara and Kate Heffernan say, “We will be holding monthly meetings where students will be putting together care packages filled to the brim with essential items.” These packages are for kids who are in a tough financial state in order to give them the best opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t have.
Cradles to Crayons operates on donations from the public. On the website (listed below) anyone can donate supplies or money.
Heffernan comments, “Cradles to Crayons is a great club to join because it is helping people in our community and surrounding communities who are in need.”
You can find Cradles to Crayons on Facebook or you can join by reaching out to a president or the club advisor Mr.Kitteridge for when they will be holding meetings.
